SSESE
ISLAND:
84 Islands are found in this north western section of Lake
Victoria, offering a vast number of white sand beaches for
relaxation in virgin natural vegetation with unique African
Birds species and sport fishing. Also to be seen during the
Canoe rides are Hippos and Crocodiles.

MOUNTAIN
BIKING AND RIDING:
Your challenge is to cycle 300km in one of the most spectacularly
beautiful country of Uganda through Lake Mburo National Park
which features some of the rare animals in Uganda including
Impala, Eland, Antelopes as well as Zebra, Buffalo and Hippos.
Continue to Ndeija and Kabale with its forests and lakes absolutely
magnificent views. From Kabale, we head towards Lake Bunyonyi
and then to the south western tip of the country, which is
close to the volcanic peaks of the Virunga Mountains. For
our final days cycling, we cross the border to Rwanda. A truly
stunning route. |

ECO
TOURISM:
The Bio-diversity in Uganda’s forest reserve is impressive.
Not forgetting our closest relatives, the Chimpanzees, Uganda’s
forests provide one of the best places in the world to see
these fascinating Apes enjoying their natural habitat. As
a means of helping to conserve these valuable wild life havens,
the Uganda Forest Department has set up a six forest Eco tourism
project at sites on popular tourists routes around the country.
These Eco tourism sites have been set up in collaboration
with communities surrounding the forests and revenue generated
through tourism employs local people to work on the projects
and support community based initiatives in the village surrounding
the forests. |
